Got this for my 3 yr old princess granddaughter. I’ve been listening to it until I can get it to her. I’m going to have to buy another one for me. Love the songs! Wish there were songs from Frozen, Aladdin, or Muana.
We gave this to my daughter for valentines day. Great no clutter gift idea! I had no idea it also came with a digital download also! So nice in case the cd gets ruined! She has listened to this nearly daily for months.
My 6 year old loves this ! She knows most
Of the Songs and loves to Sing Along! The quality is great for the price. I ordered it on the Tuesday before Christmas and it was delivered Christmas Eve ! Super quick shipping

I tell Alexia to play ocean sounds when I go to bed at night and sleep soundly until morning. I wouldn't want to be without it. I plan to get another one for my husband's Nursing Home room to help him sleep. I especially like Thunder Storms at night. It reminds me that I always slept well when there was a thunderstorm. The sounds are perfect to imagine that I really am curled up with my husband safe inside while the storm goes on outside.
I ask the Alexa Dot for these sounds anytime I want to drift off. If you don't like Thunderstorms there are other sounds. One is called Ocean Sounds that is so soothing I can fall asleep to it too.
It sounds wierd to say Alexa/Echo Dot changed my life, but let me tell you how it has helped.
I am absent-minded, and I have no sense of the passage of time. Quite often I'd forget to start dinner until 7PM, and since I am on a special diet, that meant eating later than optimal. I also take medication several times a day. Add to that how the day can simply get away from me, and I was feeling frustrated with myself! I had no one to blame but myself, but the thing was -- blame wasn't helping! So I got a dot. I started putting in reminders for meds, for starting dinner, for remembering to switch the laundry to the dryer. I got more done, and it helped me not get into negative self-talk/self-recrimination for my forgetfullness. If I had to stop mid-task, I told Alexa to tell me in 5 minutes. I used to really get off track if I went to the bathroom and forgot what I was doing before that. Well, now things flow better. I dont get annoyed with myself, I just fix the reminders! I don't use alarms anymore with their blaring noise -- if you are a forgetful or absent-minded person like me, an alarm is an annoying noise and youo still might not remember what it is FOR. Alexa just tells me. I am also free of the million-zillion post-it notes and the lists that always seemed to be in the wrong room. Alexa keeps all my lists, and can read them to me. I set up Google calendar, let Alexa have access and now she also can remind me what events are coming up --- be that doctors or social events. Finally I have a flow to my day that isnt disrupted if I chase down some internet research topic or read a little longer than planned. Alexa helps me keep things from falling off my radar, and I dont have to use a form of mild shame to motivate myself.
I wish I had tried it much sooner. My husband was so amazed, he bought the 2nd one for me! He now enjoys having Alexa play sports talk radio and news, and fun stuff like jeapardy questions. I've started to listen to audiobooks more and my imagination is soaring. Alexa is a great addition to my life, the personal assistant I needed!
3. 100 Singalong Songs For Kids

Best collection of children's favorite songs I have found. From "Found a Peanut" to "Oh My Darling", to "Bones them Bones them Dry Bones", and several old familiar church songs and I am not a churchy person, but I do remember them as a child and I am happy my grandchildren are learning them. They sing sing sing on their own little girl CD player, and I can't think of a better way to spend time together when you are inside on snowy cold days and on rainy days. Going on a car ride? Bring these along, so much better than showing a movie. This said by a teacher of children for over 32 years. What better recommendation is there than that!
I was incredibly nicely suprised by these kids. Recording quality is good, soo many songs (many quick, lots of fun) and my 3 year old LOVES them. i had my doubts but i'll probably get a couple more cedarmont kids cd's. even i felt ministered to when some of the tracks came on and lifted me out of a bad attitude a few times. takes me back to my own kids choir days. recommend.
My one-year-old granddaughter LOVES these songs. And most of the tunes are old favorites that are easy to sing along with. One bit of WARNING: These songs will get stuck in your head and you'll be singing them in your sleep! But seriously, my baby girl loves to sing, clap, and dance with these songs - and she insists that her old Papaw do it too! Good, wholesome fun!

This was a pretty good station for those of us that were raised in the 80s.
But beware, the left side of the display does not move around and it left a "burn" image on my older TV
Si buscan buena música de los 80, es un buen lugar para empezar, aunque no hay rock, su musica es variada y tranquila.
I love this station, I had forgotten most of the songs, but with each one it brought back a memory and remembering the groups, absolutely love it and will be telling friends about it. Such a nice change in music to listen too!

J. R. R. Tolkien labored at his mythology for a majority of his adult life, from the trenches of World War I until his death. He mostly thought it unpublishable. He was interested in the great histories, in the sweeping sagas, in the stories that were written not as modern novels, but as texts that might have jumped straight out of the world he created. Some of Tolkien's mythological material made it into 'The Lord of the Rings.' Much of it did not. He wanted to publish the histories--the Silmarillion saga--alongside the books we all know today, but the publishers turned him down repeatedly. He died without seeing any of that work published, and when his son Christopher tried to make one cohesive text from the massive amounts of material, much of it was bastardized. Only later did Christopher edit and release over a dozen volumes of original texts, showing us a bit more of the scope of the history Tolkien had imagined.
Why am I telling you this about Tolkien in a review for GRR Martin? This should seem fairly obvious by now: GRR Martin has the same longing Tolkien did. He has the same love of the grand, sweeping historical epic. So far he has been giving us his 'Lord of the Rings,' his drama of the minutiae, but in the process he got caught up in the grand and glorious visions of the Targaryens, just as Tolkien was swept up into the glories of the First Age. It’s no mistake this book is being called the “GRRMillion.”
Martin's popularity is granting him a chance that Tolkien unfortunately never had in his lifetime: To create his myth IN FULL. To give us the grand sweep of things in the greater world, beyond just the characters we know and love in 'A Song of Ice and Fire.'
Please accept this book for what it is, rather than complaining about what it does not aim to be. And what exactly is it? An artefact from Westeros. It should be read not as a book Martin wrote, but one he transcribed, from the original text by Archmaester Gyldayn. It will require some work on the part of the reader. The lines have been drawn, and we are being asked to fill in the colors with our imaginations. This participatory reading is what can make history so engaging—it takes work, but the work pays off.
We have two choices: We can claw after the next GoT book, complaining that the author hasn’t yet met our demands. Or we can allow the author a chance to fill out his universe. For my part, this stuff is more exciting than the series proper. We get to see the bigger picture that all of the Song of Ice and Fire is a part of. If you don't want this sort of thing, simply move on rather than ruining the experience for others.
I remember what it felt like to sit down one day as a boy and open 'The Silmarillion.' I was holding the Bible of the Elves. It was a piece of that world. It was a text that might have been read by a scholar in Minas Tirith. It was magic. Martin has the chance to give us this now. Imagine being Samwell Tarly, sitting in the Citadel's library, opening up this ponderous and magical tome about the history of the Targaryens for the first time.
Why now, though? Why not wait until he's finished telling the main story? For my part, I'd rather follow the passion of a writer than get mediocre work demanded by fans. Martin created this universe for us; let him follow his vision for how it should proceed. He was caught up in the glorious history of his universe as he was telling his story, and he wants us to have it in all of its rich complexity. I can only wish that Tolkien had had the same opportunity in his lifetime. We only see fragments of what that might have been. But Martin is giving us his own great mythology, in his own lifetime, whole and complete; and I am a boy again with wonder.
This, my friends, is going to be a feast.
About 100 pages in and can’t put it down. Love Westeros and it’s history.
And as the others leaving “reviews” so astutely put, this is not Winds of Winter. Get over it. You’re more than welcome to go write your own epic fantasy books at your own pace.
It’s the Targaryen dynasty history in Westeros from A Song of Ice and Fire series. Enough said. True fans know.

8. Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Reviews from Real Users
The music on Awesome Mix Vol 1 is fantastic. It just is. "I Fooled Around (and Fell In Love)"; "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)", and "Cherry Bomb" are all songs that have stood the test of time. Most of the soundtrack is full of toe-tapping goodness and earwig galore. But, that's not what makes this a great soundtrack. It just sweetens the deal. No, what makes this a great soundtrack is that it is as pivotal the plot as Peter Quill himself. It almost becomes another character. The characters interact and react to the soundtrack instead of being something in the back ground. From the moment you hear "Come and Get Your Love", you know you're just going to have a good time in this movie. "Oooh Child" will make you laugh out loud. "I'm Not In Love" is one only coldest of hearts won't get emotional to. As the credits start to roll, "I Just Want You Back" dances it's way into your heart, knowing full well you fell head over heels for the movie, the characters...and the soundtrack. A must buy.
I think this is the best album (with 'album' meaning a collection of songs) to have come out in quite some time! I love every last song. The quality of the recordings is fantastic and every last song in the collection is great. I have probably over 1,000 CDs in my collection. Very rarely have I ever listened to a single CD and sad, 'Ooh! Good song!' over and over again.
I had no idea what the Guardians of the Galaxy movie was about, but after listening to the short samples of each song, I took a chance on buying the CD/MP3 Auto-rip bundle. I was very pleasantly surprised. I am now curious as to what movie could possibly have this much great music and why. I'm going to have to check it out.
If you like 70's music but your collection of 70's music is a little thin, this album is an essential add to your collection!
Not only a great reminder of a great movie but a nostalgic journey back to some of the greatest music of the late 20th century!

With Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love and more signature performances, this mesmerizing movie built around Zep’s famed ’73 NYC concerts is convincing proof why. great restoration,
the picture is crisp,
the sound is too
That bulge in Robert's trousers, comes out at you from the blue!
I had this on VHS & since I'm a big advocate for scrimping 'n saving I've been viewing this from tape since I first bought my first copy, the ol' VCR is failing so I'm upgrading my library to DVDs & BluRay.
I know that this was definitely NOT captured in HI-DEF, so I'm not going to bother with the extra charge most retailers charge simply because it's burned onto Blu Ray, normal DVD is just fine for me.
There's extras on this 2-disc package TOO, it is well worth upgrading.
OR, if you're a younger fan of Led Zeppelin DO NOT hesitate, pick this up and learn what REAL rock & roll is. Many disrespect 'Zep. for "ripping off" some of the originators of delta/Pure blues music but I cannot & will NOT agree, just as [many other bands, guitarists, acts] did, they HEARD the music & added their OWN style. I sincerely hope all that purchase this package, whichever format, really enjoy "The Song Remains The Same" as much as I do.
Cheers!
This product is more than a concert for it contains theatrical elements as well as some footage of the bands personal lives. I watched this on my big screen and I felt as if I was teleported back in time to an era where traveling minstrels were elevated to the status of deities.
Today's generation do not realize what we are about lose. Even in an age of digital music nothing compares to the raw energy of a live concert, especially, from one of the greatest bands in history in the genre of Rock. Plant's enchanting vocals are matched by only a few. Page's guitar playing is known for producing some of the most mesmerising solos ever heard. Jones is a melodic bass player. The late John Bohnam's drum playing is as filled with raw vitality as he was.
This film is more than a concert recording, it captures an important part of the American and European experience and should be acknowledged as one of the greatest films ever made in the canon of film-making. The era of rock gods should not be forgotten. Led Zeppelin and their film, "The Song Remains the Same" encapsulates that era.
This video records Led Zeppelin during three concerts in 1973 at Madison Square Garden. The movie wasn't released until 1976. It is worth the price just to see Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham work their skills as one of rock's all time great bands. Many of the songs were from their first titled album "Houses Of The Holy." The remainder of the music comes from Led Zeppelin I "Dazed and Confused ", Led Zeppelin I I "Whole Lotta Love", and of course Led Zeppelin IV "Stairway To Heaven." The only downside are the cutaways. Each of the band members is recorded doing the things that they would like to be remembered for. For example, in John Bonham's cutaway he is seen as a race car driver and actually races a dragster on a track. I gave it five stars in spite of the cutaways. This film is a piece of rock history and if you have never seen Led Zeppelin in concert then I highly recommend this video.
